rental in Uwajimaya
Hi:

I was wondering if anyone knows anyone who is looking for a roommate to live in the Uwajimaya Village apts. I am planning to rent an apartment, but living by myself seems to expensive. If you are interested please send me a reply.

Thanks.

Fortune Cookies
Hey everyone, I'm looking for fortune cookies. More specifically, defective fortune cookies - you know, the ones that don't cook closed, or cook into funny shapes, etc etc. I've heard of these being bagged up and sold, but don't really know where to look around here. Anyone have any idea? Thanks mwah

Hello everyone. Quick question - what cable tv company do you guys use? I can't for the life of me remember who it is that provides service in this building!

It is Gwenn's last day today. I thought she was going to be around longer, but that is not the case. =( She will still be working for Lorig, but on a different property.

If some of you remember Philip Combs, he was the old manager. A very cool guy. Arranged ways for residents to get together and got our windows washed every summer. (Notice that didn't happen this year?) He is no longer on site because he was promoted. If you have any complaints about current management, e-mail him at pcombs@lorig.com. I will.

Laurie has been here 3 weeks and she is already miserable working in the office. Not only are people unhappy working here, but residents are not talking to the current management because we are met with incompetence and a lack of willingness to make our stay here enjoyable. Call me spoiled because Phil was so great, but when you lose a great team because of one player, something has to be said.

Sylvia did not plan for a party for Gwenn and even asked for it to be kept silent. So please stop by today and say bye to a valued and lovely person.

Hello everyone, my name is Diana and my boyfriend and I would love to live in the Uwajimaya Apartments this fall. I currently live in Bellingham. I have noticed by reading older posts that the leasing people might give deals to students, or lower-income people, etc. Well, I won't be a UW student until January, but my boyfriend will be an SU student in the fall; do you think this would still apply? And who would I talk to about that? I'm going to be in Seattle tomorrow and am wondering if I should call in the morning and see about scheduling an appointment (which is more professional, no doubt!) or should I just stop by the leasing office? The apartments look amazing (from what I've seen online) and the location is definitely a plus! So I guess I'm just looking for a few pointers on what I should ask, who I should talk to, what should I do?
Thanks in advance!

Restaurant Review: Purple Dot Cafe
Location: Maynard Avenue between Weller and King
Price: <$15/person

The Good
Denny's Hong Kong style. Menu is in the same range of price and the decor is in the same taste, maybe even nicer. The music is upbeat and there are TVs. The menus did not have descriptions of their food, but that made me more adventurous.

A huge variety of drinks, snacks, appetizers, and Asian-style prepared food. The restaurant stays open really late!

The Bad
We sat in the non-smoking section, but when I got home, my clothes smelled faintly of smoke. And I've seen quicker waiters. I never did get my water that I asked for.

A little quiet around midnight would be nice...
I thought this place has quiet old Asians. Since they knocked down the rent, the loud rude people are moving in. >=(

I was looking into apartments in Uwajimaya Village. They seem to have nice ammenities and a good location. The price seems pretty darn high though.
